We are planning our first trip to WDW from Oct. 12-21st and still feel a bit overwhelmed with all the planning. What should we expect in the way of crowds during that week? Also, should we pack shorts and T-shirts? Or long pants and sweatshirts? Thanks!

Hi Jenny! October has become a favorite month to come for some guests and especially those who enjoy the Epcot Food and Wine Festival. In fact October is one of my favorite times to come as the weather is just starting to cool off in the evenings making the parks much more fun to explore. My energy lasts longer then it does in the heat of summer. Definitely pack shorts and tees but also throw in the light wrap for early mornings and evenings. You never know what mother nature can or will throw at you!

Crowd wise it can get a bit busy especially in Epcot and on the weekends so avoid that park on Friday evening, Saturday and Sunday. The other parks seem to handle the crowds well in October although again it is impossible to know what each day will be until it happens. Let the planning be fun and get everyone's input so they feel like it is their vacation together.  Let us help you in any way possible.....we have all been doing this for years...for me about 40 years! yikes!
