We are planning our first trip to WDW on Oct 23/15 and I have booked 3 sit down character meals (we have the DDP), would you recommend booking all sit down meals ahead of time. I was hoping to allow some flexibility in dates and times for the rest.

    Hi Susan,

Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. I know you are so excited about your first visit to Walt Disney World Resort!

Unfortunately, the Table-Service restaurants are hard to book last minute, so I would highly suggest making all of your reservations in advance. You can always change things if you need to, but at least you will have something that you prefer reserved. Otherwise, you might not like the options that are available closer to the time of your trip.

A few of my favorites that aren't character meals are dinner at 'Ohana, Coral Reef Restaurant, Mama Melrose's Ristorante Italiano, The Plaza Restaurant and Le Cellier. It's always a good idea to mix in a few non-character meals to give yourself a break from all of the picture taking and autographs during the meals. I hope you're able to get those last reservations booked easily so you can relax and start counting the days until your trip! If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to let us know.

    Happy planning!
