    I am planning my first trip to WDW the first week of December. How early in advance should I make reservations if I plan on staying in a value resort? Also, how do I request a certain room i.e a room facing the lake?( pop century)

    I would recommend making those reservations now if you haven't already.  Christmas is a very busy season at Walt Disney World.  I love to go at Christmas time.  It just feels even more magical.  I have requested certain buildings and even certain rooms.  If the building is considered a 'preferred' location than of course there will be a nominal additional fee.  I have requested lake or pool side as well and have had great success.  I wish you a fabulous trip!!!
