I am planning our first trip to wdw in feb 09(first two weeks) and have read in some external sights that the parks close early during this time. Is this true and what time do they usually close? Trying to see all the parks and downtown disney as well.

Parks do close earlier in the off-season. However we've always found that the low crowds far outweighs the shorter touring days.

This past February, park hours during the first full week were:

    Sunday - closed at 9 p.m.
    Monday - 8 p.m.
    Tuesday - 7 p.m.
    Wednesday - 8 p.m.
    Thursday - 8 p.m.
    Friday - 11 p.m.
    Saturday - 7 p.m.

Note that the following week due to President's holiday (and some schools having that week off) the hours are extended to accommodate the influx of guests.

Epcot held its usual hours with Future World closing at 7 p.m. and World Showcase closing at 9 p.m.
Hollywood Studios closed at 7 p.m. all week and 8:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Animal Kingdom closed at 6 p.m. the first full week of February and at 8 p.m. on Saturday.
These hours are for regular park closing and do not include any Extra Magic Hours offered.

Downtown Disney is usually open to about 11-11:30 p.m. on most evenings!
