We are planning our first trip to wdw for our family of 6. 2 adults and 4 boys ages, 10,8,7,5. We want to come during a cheaper season and when it's cooler, but still warm enough to enjoy the water. When do you suggest? What about crowds?

    Hello Claris,

    So what constitutes "cooler?"

Disney has four rate "seasons," and typically, the end of September falls in the Value Season. The Value Season is the least expensive of all of the seasons. And because school is in session, generally, the last week of September has really manageable crowd levels. Yes, the temperature outside is still warm, but it's not unbearably hot. What I love about this time of year is Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween. It's my favorite party of the year!

So if candy, warm weather, and smaller crowds are what you're looking for, I'd vote for the last week of September!

My family loves our Main Street in Ohio. But there's simply no comparison to Main Street U.S.A.! We don't get to Disney quite as often as I'd like, but that just means finding new ways to sprinkle Pixie Dust on our adventures! Learn More About Monina
