We are planning our first trip to WDW in early April with two adults, a 3 year and 12 month old boys. If we have 7:15am reservations at Chef Mickey, how would you recommend getting there from AoA?

    Hello, Samantha,

What an incredible way to start your day by dining with Mickey and his friends at Chef Mickey's. It is such a fun restaurant, and I love that the characters come to guests.  No waiting in lines to meet them!

To get to the restaurant from Disney's Art of Animation Resort using Disney transportation, you'll want to use a theme park as a hub.  For example, you should be able to take a Magic Kingdom bus from your resort then you can either walk to Disney's Contemporary Resort or take the monorail.  Disney's Hollywood Studios is also close to your resort, so you could take a bus over there then transfer to a Disney's Contemporary Resort bus.  You will want to allow at least an hour for travel/wait time.  Since it is early in the morning when you'll be taking a bus, you may want to stop by the Lobby Concierge at your resort to confirm what time the buses will start running the day you are dining.

However, you may find it easier and less time-consuming to actually just take a cab (or Uber) from your resort. Bell Services can assist you with this.

Wishing you a magical trip!  Please let us know if we can help with any further questions.  -Kara
