    Hi Danielle!

Thank you for sending in your question to the Walt Disney World Moms Panel.  To help you plan, I recommend visiting the independent website TouringPlans.com.  That's the website for the research team behind the tour book "The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World".  They are famous in the Disney fan community for producing a crowd calendar that predicts the crowd levels in the parks on a particular day.  For every day of your trip, they will have a recommendation on which park to visit and which parks to avoid based on the predicted crowds.  Their recommendations are based on a lot of sophisticated math and years of data collection.  As an engineer, I'm a huge fan of their work.

Once you know which park you might want to visit on which day, you can make Advanced Dining Reservations (ADRs).  ADRs are important if you want to dine at one of the great Table Service (full service) restaurants.  ADRs can be made online or by calling (407) WDW-DINE.

Since you are going during a busy week at Walt Disney World, you should also use a good touring plan.  A touring plan is a step by step recommendation on the order to experience the attractions.  The best touring plans, in terms of minimizing your wait in lines, are produced by TouringPlans.com in my opinion.  When you are exploring their crowd calendar, definitely look into their touring plans as well!

By the way, since it is your first trip to Walt Disney World, I recommend picking up the book "The Complete Walt Disney Word" by Julie and Mike Neal.  It is a great book for first time visitors as it is full of information without being overwhelming.  It is also a beautiful book full of fabulous color photographs.  I'm a huge fan of the book.

I hope this helps to get you started.  Write back if you have any  more questions!
