Planning our first trip to WD, I have four small children(under 9), and I am having a hard time finding accomodations for us. Any suggestions (on a budget) I do not want to spend more than $7 K on 7 days. Are they strict on the max. occ. of the rooms

Hi, Brandy!   Glad you came to the Moms Panel with your question!    You have a couple of options with four kids.    To stay at a Value Resort, you can either book 2 connecting rooms  or book a Family Suite at All-Star Music.   Price out both options, but usually booking 2 rooms is just a little bit cheaper than the Family Suite.   However, the Suite comes with a kitchenette (mini-frig, microwave, and coffee maker) which is a nice way to save some money since you will be able to keep snacks and light meals.

The next option is a cabin at Disney's Fort Wilderness.    This falls under the Moderate category and costs more, but each cabin has a complete kitchen which will allow you to cook meals so you would save on dining out for every meal.

Of the 2 options, I personally prefer the All-Star option.    Booking either the 2 rooms or a Family Suite give you 2 full bathrooms which is really nice with a big family.

Disney is strict about occupancy numbers as this is dictated by fire codes and safety issues, so take a look at the options I mentioned and see if this will work for your family.  Good Luck finding the perfect accommodations!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
