We are planning our first trip, Sept.23-30th for our family of 3. Our son will be 4 1/2. We would like to consider a Magic Your Way package but they are based on a family of 4. What other options and suggestions do you have as we continue planning?

Yo, Cathy! Check it: the price you're seeing is for illustration purposes only. It's for the all-American family of four. Just picture them now... they have the same color eyes and hair. The kids have mom's ears and dad's nose. But it doesn't end there. Nope. They're also wearing matching sweaters. Uh huh.

Let's come back to reality. You're a family of three. And guess what? A vacation for a family of three costs less than a vacation for a family of four. Why? Because you have one less person to factor in. Take that, perfect family!

When you're checking out the various options for your upcoming Disney vacation, having only three people instead of four should visibly drop the costs. Other things that help lower costs is selecting a value or moderate resort without a "preferred view" and removing the "water parks and more" option from the ticket.
