Oh, Katherine, I am so excited for you and your family. A trip to Walt Disney World is so magical and full of unforgettable moments. Thanks for bringing your questions to planDisney!
My first planning step for our Walt Disney World trips is setting a budget - you can be as extravagant or budget conscious as you like at Disney, and having a number in mind helps focus your search. I then think about which Disney Resort hotel will work best for us - transport options and amenities available all come into play here.
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa offers lavish accommodations with close access to Magic Kingdom Park.
Disney's All-Star Music Resort offers larger-than-life theming and Family Suites at a value price. These rooms sleep 6, have a mini-fridge and microwave, a separate bedroom, and 2 full bathrooms. The suites offer a bit of space (520 square feet) to spread out and you just can't beat having that 2nd bathroom!
Disney's Port Orleans Riverside and
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort are in the Moderate Resort Category, offering 2 queen beds and a pull-down sleeper for a 5th guest. To compare the size to the Family Suite, these rooms are 314 square feet and have just one bathroom. Just be aware that not all rooms have that 5 sleeper, so make sure to book the correct room type.
In my opinion, the Easter holidays are a perfect time to visit. Not only is the weather usually delightful, but
EPCOT's Flower & Garden Festival is in full bloom. I'm always blown away by the topiaries and blossoms on show!
