Planning first trip with preschooler. Would like to stay at a Deluxe resort but would like to keep costs down. Also want low crowds and good weather (not that I ask for much!). Do you think May or Nov. would be best?

    Hi April!

My recommendation to you for a Deluxe Resort is either the Wilderness Lodge Resort or the Animal Kingdom Lodge Resort.  The Wilderness Lodge Resort and the Animal Kingdom Lodge Resort are both amazing places to stay in Walt Disney World and they are at the lower cost end of all of the Deluxe Resorts! They are so much more than a room, in fact, they are an experience. The Animal Kingdom Lodge is farther away from all the Theme Parks in Walt Disney World except for Animal Kingdom. Wilderness Lodge is close to Magic Kingdom and all the other Magic Kingdom Resorts. I stayed at Wilderness Lodge two times last year and I just loved it! My son loved it too. Magic Kingdom is just a short boat ride from the Wilderness Lodge.

As far as time of year for low crowds and great weather, early November or early May are the best times to go to get the low crowds and great weather.  Keep in mind that May will be much hotter that November in Walt Disney World.

I wish you a Walt Disney World vacation filled with magical family memories no matter where you choose to stay on your next trip!

    Keep Dreaming Big!
