Planning first trip in Oct. having a very hard time choosing a resort. Do all the moderate resorts only have double size beds? which moderate resort has highest ratings? traveling with husband and 4 years old daughter. Help us decide!

Yes the moderate resorts either have 2 double beds in each room or 1 king bed. King bed room are limited and thus more expensive.

Okay, let's think through your choices.

Coronado Springs Resort is a vast resort and would require a lot of additional walking. Not such a great idea for a tired four year old and her parents. This is also a convention center and caters to a business crowd as well as party-goers headed to the Rix nightclub. I would wait until your child is older for this resort.

Port Orleans Riverside is also a large resort but much more kid-friendly. It's rustic and charming.

Port Orleans French Quarter is small and quaint. This would be a great resort for your little girl. The pool's slide is perfect for young children. I love this choice for families with young kids and in fact we stayed here with our son when he was little!

Caribbean Beach Resort is also a large resort but has a tropical theme and courtyards that make it seem intimate at times. The beach is great for young kids (no swimming in the lake) with lots of sand and playgrounds. The pool is currently being renovated and will open with a new pirate theme in September. Kid meals are served in sand pails. Our son loved it here too!

The moderate resorts are a great value. Lots of amenities at a reasonable rate!!
