We are planning our first trip November week before thanksgiving break in 2022. :) Wondering if they have toasters and microwaves for use? Also are we ok to have an ice chest in our room?

    Hi Juan,

Welcome to planDisney and thank you for your question! How exciting your first trip to the Walt Disney World Resort! November is a great time to come too, you’ll begin seeing the Christmas décor go up and the weather is typically beautiful during this time of year.

When it comes to in-room amenities like toasters or microwaves, it really depends on the type of room you have. For example, the standard hotel rooms at Value, Moderate, and Deluxe resorts don’t have either toasters or microwaves, but they do have mini refrigerators that can hold drinks, small containers or milk, etc.

Now when you move to the Deluxe Studio and Villa categories, the in-room amenities change. For example, in a Deluxe Studio, you would most likely have a refrigerator and microwave. In the one – three bedroom villas, you’d have more of a kitchenette with a microwave and larger refrigerator. I’ve also seen toasters in some of the larger villas.

As you begin to plan your vacation, I suggest that you take a look at all the Disney Resorts Collection properties to see which might be the best for you. Some off the top of my head that have Family Suites, Deluxe Studios, and Villas are: Disney's All-Star Music Resort, Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and most of the Deluxe Villa Resorts.

Since this will be your first trip, when you arrive at your resort, remember to go to the front desk or any merchandise location and pick up a complimentary first-time visitor button for you and your party! These are always fun to wear around the Walt Disney World Resort.

I know this was a ton of information, but I hope this “Bit By Bryanna” is helpful as you prepare for your first visit this fall. If you have any other planning or vacation questions or need other suggestions, please feel free to reach out, I’m always happy to help!
