Hi! I am planning my first trip in November with my husband, daughter (9) & son (11). What resort is the best for pre-teen children? My kids like the bright colors at the value resorts but the husband & I would like something a little nicer. Th

    Hi Kim!

I recommend either Pop Century, a Value Resort, or Port Orleans Riverside, a Moderate Resort.  Port Orleans Riverside is the best of the Moderate Resorts in my opinion.  It also recently "won" an unofficial poll amongst panelists on the Walt Disney World Moms Panel as the best Disney Moderate Resort.  I love the theming of the resort, especially the Alligator Bayou section.  It also has a great pool, with a relatively long water slide.  The resort offers many services and amenities not available at Value Resorts, including boat service to Downtown Disney.  The boat ride is especially fun and relaxing at night.

If you want to stay at a Disney Deluxe Resort, then I recommend looking into the Wilderness Lodge or Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge.  Both are fabulous resorts to stay at are are usually less expensive than the other Deluxe Resorts.  In fact, my absolute favorite resort at Walt Disney World is the Wilderness Lodge.

Good luck with your decision and write back if you have any more questions!
