We are planning our first trip Nov 12-17, 2013 with 5 & 3 year old girls. Best time to book the trip? If I book now, can I get a discount (or free dining plan) if offered in the future? Should I be worried if I don't book now that the Poly might

    Hi Lorrie!

A big congratulations on taking your first Walt Disney World vacation! For someone, such as myself, who is very much a type A personality I always recommend to book your Walt Disney World vacation as soon as you have confirmed dates. There are many benefits to to booking your vacation early including:

The ability to pay over longer period of time, final Magic Your Way Package payments are not due until 45 days before your arrival. You can choose to pay the remaining balance however and whenever you wish, as long as the balance is paid 45 days before arrival.

The ability to keep an eye on discounts that might be offered during your vacation.Even after booking your vacation, a discount can be applied. If free dining were to be offered during your dates, you would just need to speak to your travel agent or give Disney Travel Company a call.As long as there are rooms available at your resort for the discount, it will be applied with no problem.Depending on the discount, you may have to upgrade to a different view or room type as not all rooms are included in all discounts. The balance for your vacation will be lowered based on the discount or you can receive a refund if you have already paid in full.

Ability to book your dining reservations 180+10, Disney resort guests are able to make their dining reservations for their entire trip with one phone call instead of having to call everyday to make there reservations. For very popular restaurants such as Be Our Guest, this is a huge help because reservations are highly coveted for this location. You're already past your 180 day mark, but it is something to keep in mind for the future.  If you are planning on dining at any sit down locations during your vacation, I highly recommend to make this reservations as soon as possible!

Please let me know if you have anymore questions planning your first Walt Disney World vacation!

    Best Wishes!
