We are planning our first trip next year. We might be going as early as May, but we can't book yet. Can I go ahead and make dining reservations without booking our trip? I'm afraid we won't get the character dining we want!!!

    Hi Laura,

Super excited about your first trip to Walt Disney World!

You are smart for thinking ahead especially when it comes to dining reservations as the most popular ones tend to book up fast.  You can make reservations up to 180 days prior to your visit even if you don't know where you're staying. I recommend that you do that to ensue you get the reservations you really want.

You can make most reservations online (click here) or by calling 407-WDW-DINE.

If your party will be bigger than 10 guests, you'll need to call the reservation line for assistance.  Some reservations require a major credit card for guarantee and a cancellation fee may be incurred if you need to cancel a reservation and don't do so at least 48 hours in advance.

Please let us know if you have more questions during your planning.  We're excited to help you!

Wishing you many magical memories :-) Allison
