I am planning the first trip for myself and my children who will be ages 5 and 2. Any suggestions on keeping up with both of them? I am a single mother so it would be just me and them.

    Hi Dixie,

How exciting your first trip to Walt Disney World, you will have such an incredible time!!!
Here are some tips that I would recommend.
-Make sure you bring or rent a stroller.
-If you are visiting during the summer months make sure everyone stays hydrated so that no one gets cranky.
-Stop and have meals so that everyone can regroup.
-Take a break in the afternoon for a nap or take a break back at your resort for a dip in the pool

Try not to do everything in one day. Take a look at the things that you really want to do and plan around that. When you arrive, pick up a Times Guide to see parade, firework and show times.

If you can, I would recommend booking character dining. It is such a magical experience, you and your kids will love dining with your favourite characters!

Take a lot of pictures and pick up an autograph book when you arrive, so you can get autographs from all of your favourite characters.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Wishing you a very magical vacation,

    Carrie
