Hi! Planning first trip in May, HELP! where 2 start? What to book? Staying at Boardwalk. Good choice?? Can Change. Have 2 grls, 5 & 2. Naps ended. Deluxe meal plan set. Rough estimate on cash budgeting? Want best exp for girls of course!

Hi Alisha!  The Boardwalk is a great resort and I personally love that area!  We normally opt for the Yacht or Beach Club but only because of the great pool area, Stormalong Bay.  Your girls will love any pool and you will enjoy being so close to so much!

You will want to book your dining as soon as possible. I suggest you get one table service reservation per day.  The best princess experience in my eyes is the dining at Akershus in the Norway Pavilion in EPCOT. This will be very convenient for you since you can come and go from the International Gateway entrance which is a five minute walk from your resort.  The best overall character meal is Chef Mickey in the Contemporary resort. For another character dining option that is closer, the Garden Grill in the Land Pavilion is quite good and you will most likely be visited by Mickey, Pluto, Chip and Dale.

EPCOT alone will offer many dining opportunities for the family as well as some great locations right in the resort area.  The Biergarten is fun for all and we love to watch the chefs cook at Japan's Teppan Edo!

You will love being so close to Hollywood Studios as well. It is a 15 minute boat ride or a 20 minute walk to this park from your resort.

Your biggest expense will be for souvenirs.  It is hard to say what that budget number should be as all families are different as far as what they wish to purchase during the trip.  Even when I say I will not buy a thing I am usually shipping a box home much to my husband's dislike!

Try not to get so regimented with your time. Let the girls dictate what they want to do and when.  This will make a great family vacation and more enjoyable then if you had every second planned.  Just make sure you have one stroller as even though you state they no longer nap they will be tired...you might actually ask them to move over and fit yourself in the stroller before the end of the day!
