I am planning our first trip to the Magic Kingdom. Daughter age 6.5 years, son 5 years and daughter 2 years. Spending two days in Magic Kingdom! What should our itinerary be of Must sees and in what order?

    Hello Andrea!

I am so excited for your first trip to Magic Kingdom Park! Seeing the magic through your children's eyes, especially the first time, is priceless. That's how Walt Disney World hooked us. Spending two days at Magic Kingdom Park is very wise, because there really is so much to see and do, especially for the ages of your children.

An itinerary of must-do attractions is a little difficult, solely because it depends on your interests. Also, your older children will be able to ride some of the attractions with height requirements, so you will also have to decide whether you want to split up for some of them and use Rider Switch or all stick together. Don't worry, there is plenty your two-year-old will be able to experience.

I suggest creating a My Disney Experience account and if you already have one, start thinking about what FastPass+ selections you would like to choose. The attractions that our family usually chooses (we have 5 daughters ages 10-2) are Peter Pan's Flight, The Jungle Cruise, Festival of Fantasy Parade, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Meet Anna and Elsa at Princess Fairytale Hall, and Tomorrowland Speedway. We choose these, because they usually have the longest waits or they are slow loading attractions, so the wait feels longer.

We like to make our FastPass+ selections in the early afternoons, because that way we can either sleep in that morning or take advantage of shorter lines in the morning, use our FastPass+ selections and then go back to our hotel for a nap or to swim. My best advice would be to get to the park at least 30 minutes before opening. You will be amazed at all you can accomplish those first few hours. And if you can't, well, there is always plan B with FastPass+ selections.

I hope this helps. Please do not hesitate to visit us again. Have a magical vacation!
