Hi Jamie,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. How exciting that you are planning your first trip with little ones to the Walt Disney World Resort! As you can imagine, there are many experiences your almost 3-year old will enjoy. First, I suggest that you make
Advanced Dining Reservations for
Character Meals. There is nothing quite like dining with Mickey and Friends at
Chef Mickey's. Since the characters come right to your table, you never have to worry about standing in line to see them! Second, there are lots of rides for preschoolers. To ride Dumbo the Flying Elephant, The Magic Carpets of Aladdin, Peter Pan's Flight, or Frozen Ever After, guests can be any height. I would also recommend visiting
The Boneyard, a play area at Animal Kingdom.
I would absolutely suggest that you bring an autograph book and a big pen. Some characters can grip bigger pens more easily. Yes, you can certainly bring your own stroller. Or you may use
Stroller Rental at the parks. We also bring our own snacks. Doing so keeps us going throughout the day. Do not forget about the
Baby Care Centers located throughout the parks. I would also advise you to bring hats and sunscreen. The sun can be intense. Finally, we bring princess dresses for our girls. This option fits our budget better than purchasing the dresses in the parks.
I hope this helps!
