Hi - We are planning our first trip with our kids (7 & 10) to Walt Disney World this May. We've narrowed it down to either the Grand Floridian or the Polynesian. Which would offer more fun for our kids?

    Hi Julie,

Thanks so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Congrats on planning your first trip with kids.

My children are similar ages to your kids (8 and 10), and we've stayed at both resorts. Although I love the Grand Floridian, I feel that Disney's Polynesian Village Resort is more kid friendly. The theme is more appropriate for kids, and it's easy to walk right to the Ticket and Transportation Center for access to Epcot, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom.

Disney's Polynesian Village is currently undergoing an extensive renovation. The pool is currently closed but is expected to open in early 2015. You can read more about that on Disney's Polynesian Village web page.

Good luck with your plans, and have a great vacation!
