Planning our first trip for our kiddos (3 boy & 5 girl) 12/2013. Deciding btw Animal Kingdom, Polynesian & Fort Wilderness Cabins. Which do you think the kids will enjoy most?

    Hi Colby,

I would choose your Disney resort based on your kids' personalities.  If you have some rugged outdoors people in your clan, then you can't beat the cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground.  There are so many cool activities at this resort!  Your kids could fish, ride horses, enjoy a campfire with Chip and Dale, and swim in some very cool "watering holes."

If, however, you have animal lovers among your children, you really can't do better than Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge.  Seeing giraffes and gazelles amble by your resort room balcony is an unbelievable experience.  Your kids will never forget it!  This resort is more of a typical hotel experience than Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground because it has a large central lobby and several floors of guest rooms along connected hallways.  The campground feels like more of an outdoorsy experience.

My choice for your travel party, however, would be Disney's Polynesian Resort.  There's nothing like watching the fireworks above Cinderella Castle from the beach at this resort.  Your kids will love the Nanea Volcano Pool and you'll enjoy being so close to the Magic Kingdom.  This is the only Disney resort that offers direct monorail service to both the Magic Kingdom and Epcot.  The theming and restaurants at Disney's Polynesian Resort are among my favorites.  You can't go wrong with this resort.

Good luck making your decision!  Let us know if you need any additional advice.

    Best wishes,
    Jill
