I am planning my first trip with my fiance, we are planning to be there 10/16-10/21. What ticket options are best, is a park a day a good strategy? Is a meal plan best? What do you recommend for us to get the most out of our first time experience?

    Hello, Danielle!

Planning your first trip to Walt Disney World together is so much fun!

Park Hopper Passes are a good idea so that you can enter more than one park per day; if you're looking to cut down on cost, Magic Your Way Base Tickets will help (these only allow one park per day, but cost less). Staying in one park saves you time; however, being able to spend a day in one park, heading back to the room for a nap or a swim, then back to Epcot, for example, for dinner is truly a treat.

I'm 100% for the Disney Dining Plan. IF you and your fiance would like to enjoy some truly wonderful meals, then you can't beat the Disney Dining Plan. Look for the most luxurious restaurants which accept one Table-Service entitlement, then order your favorite items which are included on the plan, with no worrying over price...it's included! In 2012, too, the Dining Plans include a resort-refillable mug per Guest, which can be used for morning coffee, afternoon fountain beverages and late-night lemonade, also a money-saver.

I don't know if you planned this on purpose, but you will be at WDW during the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival! The atmosphere of Epcot at this time is so relaxed and sumptuous, with special tastings and events spread throughout the World Showcase.  You'll surely want to spend quite a bit of time there.  Plus, those snack credits you have on the Disney Dining Plan?  You can use them for some fabulous small bites at international kiosks set up just for this event.

What a great time to travel to Walt Disney World with your fiance!  Please send me any additional questions you may have as you plan your dream vacation! I'd love to help!
