We are planning our first trip in February 2019, we are staying off site. We are getting our tickets with the military ticket place on base, my question is our son will be 3 the last day we are there, do I need to buy him a ticket or not?

    Hi Natalie!

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. It sounds like you are getting ready for a magical first visit to Walt Disney World Resort and I'm so happy to help you with your plans! Be sure to pick up complimentary First Visit buttons from any theme park Guest Relations location so that Cast Members and other Guests can help make sure that your first visit is extra special!

When Guests are enjoying a Walt Disney World Resort vacation, they don't age during their trip! So for ticketing purposes, your son's age at the beginning of your trip will be considered his age for your entire vacation. Since little Mouseketeers under 3 years old are special Guests of Mickey and receive complimentary admission to Walt Disney World Resort theme parks, you will not need to purchase a theme park ticket for your son since he will be 2 years old at the start of your trip. So you can save that money for extra souvenEARs and Dole Whips!

While you are picking up celebration buttons, be sure to pick up a birthday button for your little guy to help make his day extra special. Let us know if you have any additional questions as you continue planning. T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
