Hi Katie! Welcome to planDisney!
You can't get much better than a vacation at The Most Magical Place on Earth. While a first trip down Main Street U.S.A. is more than a little exciting, it can also be a little daunting because there is so much to see, do and fit in while you're at
Walt Disney World Resort! However, with planDisney by your side, you can be sure your trip will go off without a hitch!
Many Guests do choose to use an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner to help them book and manage all of their plans, but some, (like us here at planDisney) enjoy making their own plans and like having the ability to change them without an agent's help. Authorized Disney Vacation Planners have been trained by Disney itself, meaning that they know the ins and outs of how to plan your most magical trip. If you're looking for someone to reserve your
Disney Resorts Collection hotel Guest Room, book your
Advance Dining Reservations, and help you decide whether to purchase a
Park Hopper ticket or not, having a planner may be right for you. If you'd rather tackle your first trip on your own, we're happy to guide you every step of the way!
With over 40 square miles of Resort, over 25 beautifully themed Resort hotels, four Theme Parks,
two Water Parks, and the shopping and dining area of
Disney Springs, you'll find that you'll want to prioritize your "must-see" attractions and save the rest for another trip! Even after dozens of vacations I know I'll still find something new every time I visit.
Exploring the Walt Disney World Resort website and making your reservations on your own will certainly make you more familiar with the Resort as a whole. I would highly recommend creating a
My Disney Experience account so that even if you don't go through a planner your tickets, reservations, and itinerary are all in one place. You can even use the My Disney Experience mobile app to unlock your Guest Room door or scan into the Theme Parks!
With kids the ages of yours, I would suggest planning at least a four-day trip. If you don't want to "hop" to more than one Park each day, you'll still have enough time to visit each Park at least once with a
Standard Theme Park Ticket. To maximize your time in the Parks, and check off everything on your "must-do" list, you might want to look into adding
Disney Genie+ Service to your ticket. With this service, you and your family will be able to choose specific times to walk right on rides later in the day, without having to wait in line!
No matter which Resort you stay in, how many character dining experiences you have, or even how many days you plan to stay, just remember to look for the magic that is all around you. You never know when you'll stumble upon something as simple as a Jumping Water Fountain or a Miniature Train Village that will keep your children enthralled for much longer than you expected. We always cherish these unplanned moments that have become some of our best memories.
Enjoy the planning process and please come see us again with any other questions!
