Planning first trip ever to DW for next year. I'm getting confused on the best time to go, looking at going between Feb and April. What would be your recommendation for a first visit for me, hubby & 2 sons 7 & 15?

Your first trip! Yeah! Your family is in for a fabulous treat.

If missing school is not a concern for your children, then plan your trip when there are no holidays on the calendar. Fewer families will be in the parks so the crowd levels will be down. Avoid President's Day week and the week before and after Easter ( March 31, 2013) when many schools have spring break. Consider late February when the weather will be in the high 60s and colleges will not yet be out for their spring breaks. If you want to experience warmer, sunnier days try the middle of April when the temperatures are in the mid 70s.

Easter and President's Day do attract crowds but we have enjoyed wonderful vacations at Walt Disney World during these holidays when we have had to plan our visits around school breaks. If you do not wish to take your kids out of school either of these choices will work.

Planning your first trip to WDW can be overwhelming. If you have questions about theme parks, restaurants, tickets, hotels, or anything else please contact me. I love to help families create a magical vacation that will provide wonderful memories.
