We are planning our first trip at the end of February. Can you tell me what the park is like during that time of year? Dates are February 20 to March 3. This is my first time ever going and I am so excited. I think even more than my girls.

    Liz:

I'm jealous that you'll be visiting for such a long time!

I'm assuming you're curious about crowd levels... Typically, Disney's room rates let you know what the park's attendance is going to be like. And because the rates are Peak during your visit (versus Value or Regular on one end and Holiday on the other), that may tell you something... Yes, Spring Break will be here and crowd levels will begin to rise in the parks, but my experience the past two years (for Spring Break and the Princess Half-Marathon) not to mention a convention in 2004 during this time tells a slightly different story: the parks weren't as crowded as what I find during my October trips. However, by the end of the first week of March, the crowds are rivaling those found in the summer.

TIP: Because you'll have two weeks to explore the parks, be strategic in the parks you visit on certain days. Choose the smaller parks (Magic Kingdom and Disney's Hollywood Studios) on the weekdays when crowds are generally lower and the larger parks (Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios) on the weekends when the crowds are thicker.

Wishing y'all a magical and memorable vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
