We are planning our first trip to DW July 28 to Aug. 3 and want to stay at AKL. Can I request a certain room on a certaing savanna? If so, then how do I do this? We would also like to have a mini-fridge. Is this available? Thanks

Hi Anna - all of the Disney moderate and deluxe resorts (including the Animal Kingdom Lodge), have mini-fridges in the room, free of charge.

As for specific rooms, requests aren't guaranteed but Disney does try to honor them.  You should call the resort directly about ten days prior to arrival.  When you call, ask for the back office, and let them know specifically what you are looking for.  They really appreciate it when you can be specific - while you can ask for a certain room, it's best to let them know why you want that room (location, view, etc).  That way, if they can't accommodate your specific request, they can at least try to get you something similar.

I hope that helps!  Have a great vacation!
