Planning our first trip to Disneyland this summer! I see that some character breakfasts last until 11am - if we book late reservations for 10:45am, will we still have time to eat and interact with the characters past the "official" end time?

Wahoo! Kristen, you are going to Disneyland Resort! I am so excited for you. Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel where we help Mouseketeers plan their magical Disney vacations. Thank you for sharing your planning with us.

You will love Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park. While they seem like Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando these theme parks are something special. Did you know that Disneyland Park is the only Disney theme park where Walt Disney actually walked? The stories of his encounters with Guests are endless. If you get a chance on your enchanted adventure to where it all began, check out the "Walk in Walt's Disneyland Footsteps" Guided Tour. You will love it.

Character Dining experiences are a highlight of every trip. Whether we are starting our day in Disneyland Park with "Minnie & Friends – Breakfast in the Park” or at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa inside Storytellers enjoying Mickey’s Tales of Adventure Breakfast Buffet, seeing our favorite Disney characters is the best way to begin our adventure. Regardless of when your dining experience begins you will get to meet all the Disney personalities that are visiting the restaurant that day. They dance or hop or bounce or stroll around the restaurant meeting everyone. It usually takes about 60 minutes for every character to get around. Our Character Dining experiences have been as fast as 20 minutes and as long as 60 minutes so we budget our time on the long side. Disney friends are subject to change as they have other obligations around the Resort. So, please relax and get ready to take some amazing photos, videos, and have your autograph books ready for signatures. I wish I was there now.

Disney Dad Tip: Disney friends have large hands so be sure to bring a thick permanent marker for them to sign your autograph book. Please remember to show those pearly whites in every photo. Wanna know how to get Mickey and Minnie to smile? Ask them to say, "Cheeeese."

Kristen, enjoy making many Magical Memories.
