We are planning our first trip to Disneyland in Oct 22. The Electrical Light Parade ends after August, but is there a different parade that will run in October before the Holiday parade starts on Nov 11th? We were looking forward to a parade!

    Hiya, Michelle!

Welcome to planDisney! Thank you for sending your Disneyland Resort vacation planning question to us hEAR!

I see that you're planning a grand vacation with your Mouseketeers - how exciting! Make sure that you grab complimentary "First Visit" or "I'm Celebrating" celebration buttons for your whole crew. These can be found at City Hall in Disneyland Park, the Chamber of Commerce in Disney California Adventure Park, your Disneyland Resort Hotel, or almost any shop or dining location.

This is a hard question to predict right now because at the current time we haven't hEARd what the plan is for the fall. Before the pandemic pause, there was almost always a daily parade no matter the season. However, post-reopening, normal activities rolled back out in waves, with Fireworks, Parades, and Nighttime Spectaculars only returning just before the summer season. I imagine that we'll know more once the Main Street Electrical Parade ends in a few weeks. You're more than welcome to check back after the 2nd of September once the Halloween Time season is in full swing. Or, the Entertainment Schedule, which goes 30-days out, should include your planned visit dates by the end of August.

There are plenty of other opportunities to see our best Disney friends throughout the day; there are Character Dining opportunities, meet & greets, and shows. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled as you never know who you'll see and where; I've seen Mary Poppins and Burt riding the King Arthur Carousel, Princess Tiana on the Mark Twain Riverboat, there might even drive-by character cavalcades on the famous Main Street Vehicles or friends marching out with the Disneyland Band!

I do hope to have better news for you in a few weeks, Michelle. Feel free to stop back by or keep up with the Disney Parks Blog, which is the best source of Disneyland news straight from Mickey himself. And be sure to follow the official planDisney Panel Instagram account where we're sharing all kinds of tips and tricks! Thank you again for stopping by, and if you have any more Disneyland Resort vacation planning questions, We're All Ears!
