I am planning my first trip to Disneyland on April 29, 2026. It appears that Hyperspace Mountain is scheduled to return on April 28. Will that overlay remain on the 29th, or will it revert to classic Space Mountain?

    Hey there Will,

Welcome to planDisney and thank you for your question! It sounds like you're already well on your way in planning your next trip to the Disneyland Resort - how exciting!

Just in time for "May the 4th," the Happiest Place on Earth will be offering special events on a few select night at the end of April and beginning of May to celebrate all things Star Wars. While these Disneyland After Dark: Star Wars Nites require the purchase of special tickets, which will go on sale for general admission starting February 5 (and often sell out quickly), there are still other ways to get your dose of A Galaxy Far, Far Away even if you don't plan to attend.

One of these is the Hyperspace Mountain overlay at Space Mountain in Disneyland Park. As you mentioned, and is noted in the 2026 Calendar, Events, and Offers Disney Parks Blog post, this out-of-this-world overlay returns starting April 28. While there is no official end date that has been announced yet, from my previous experience, this overlay tends to return at least through the duration of the Star Wars Nite special events - though this is always subject to change.

My suggestion would be to keep an eye on the Hyperspace Mountain page of the Disneyland Resort website. You'll notice a date selector near the attraction image, which you can select to change the date and see if the attraction will be available for that date. However, the schedule is released about six weeks out from the current date so you'll need to wait to check until you're a bit closer to the dates of your visit to fully confirm.

In the meantime, keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog as well. In previous years, they've posted really great articles about all the ways to celebrate Star Wars around May the 4th!

Thanks again for your question, Will, and May the Force Be With You!
