planning first trip to disney w/ a 4 and 7 yr old girl. We will have 3 days at the parks. We are planning MK and Epcot but trying to decided on HS or AK for the third day. What would be the best park option for girls that age that love characters?

This is a tough one. Both Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom have unique character meets. If your girls are partial to Minnie and Mickey, Animal Kingdom offers the pair along with the many others in their safari gear. Hollywood Studios makes a perfect choice if they enjoy Pixar characters or Disney Junior characters like Princess Sofia and Jake the Pirate.

The tie-breaker question is this: do your girls like animals? If so, Animal Kingdom would make a memorable day. Plus, because it closes earlier than the other parks, you can sandwich it between the Magic Kingdom and Epcot to ensure that your family has enough stamina for your last day in the parks.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
