We are planning our first trip to Disney World, Orlando. We are not staying at a Disney Resort, we have other plans. We plan to go 2 days to Disney. Any suggestions on tickets? Hoppers, fast passes, bands, etc? Thanks!

    Hi Angie,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Mickey and Minnie Mouse are tickled that you brought this question to us! I am always thrilled to greet a fellow North Carolinian.

Since you are staying off property, I suggest you purchase tickets as soon as possible if you have not done so already. You can book your Fast Pass+ selections 30 days prior to your visit. At Magic Kingdom, we use our Fast Pass+ selections for the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Space Mountain and Tomorrowland Speedway. At Disney's Hollywood Studios, we use our Fast Pass+ selections for The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, Toy Story Mania! and Star Tours - The Adventures Continue. At Disney's Animal Kingdom Park, we use our Fast Pass+ selections for Kilimanjaro Safaris and Dinosaur. Finally, at Epcot, we use our Fast Pass+ selections for Mission Space and Test Track. You can also consider Frozen Ever After and Soarin'.

My family loves MagicBands. They are easier for us to manage. Even if you do not purchase MagicBands, you can scan your ticket card at the Fast Pass+ kiosk to board an attraction. If you want to see all four parks in those two days, you need to purchase the Park Hopper. I would also suggest adding Disney's Express Transportation so that you can move between parks more quickly.

Do not forget to make Dining Reservations. Although there are many restaurants at the Walt Disney World Resort, restaurants fill quickly, especially for Character Meals.

    I hope this helps!
