Hi Kim!
While both resorts you're considering are awesome, I can't imagine a more perfect fit for two little boys than a Cars Suite at
Disney's Art of Animation Resort. The theming of the resort is over-the-top, with life-size characters from the Cars movies positioned all around the buildings for close-up photo ops with guests.
As you head to your resort room, you'll feel as though you're walking right into Radiator Springs. The buildings are painted to look like the mountain ranges from Ornament Valley, and the winding walking path looks like an open highway. Along the way, you'll see Doc Hudson, Sheriff, Tow Mater, Sarge, Sally, Lightning McQueen and more!
The Cars Family Suites are spacious and big enough to sleep six. There's a master bedroom with a full bath, a pull-out couch and a dining table/workspace that pulls down to become a sleeper bed. There's also another full size bath and a kitchenette in the main room! I stayed in one of the Finding Nemo suites on a family trip last Christmas. It was so nice to have room to spread out, and the two bathrooms were such an awesome perk! We were able to keep snacks and a few beverages in our little kitchen area, so we weren't always needing to make a run to the food court to refuel.
Disney's Art of Animation Resort features the largest pool on Walt Disney World property - the Big Blue Pool. Make sure to keep your ears open if you dip your head under the surface...they have underwater speakers playing favorite Disney tunes! Right in the center of the Cars-themed area you'll find the Cozy Cone Motel Pool, complete with cone-shaped cabanas that are free and first-come, first-served. Ka-chow!
Can you tell I'm a huge fan of the Art of Animation Resort? I've had several great experiences there, and I truly believe it to be a magical place for little ones. I hope this advice is helpful! - Diane W.
