We are planning our first trip to Disney the week after Easter. I though the crowds would be ok but I just checked and almost all of the resorts are booked. What does this mean as far as crowds?

    Hi Tonya,

Thank you so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. We on the panel love helping guests to plan magical vacations!

The week after Easter does tend to see high crowds at Walt Disney World. This is because many schools take their Spring Breaks right around Easter. Even though the crowds are high at this time, you can still have a great time at Walt Disney World. My family and I travel around Easter often because it is when my daughter is off from school. Let me offer you some of the tips and tricks that I use for touring Walt Disney World when there are high crowds.

First, if you have not yet done so, be sure that you make Disney FastPass+ selections. These will allow you to experience some attractions with shorter wait times. Using your Disney FastPass+ selections on popular attractions that build long lines will save you the most time. In order to make Disney FastPass+ selections, you need to have tickets purchased and linked on your My Disney Experience account.

When you are at Walt Disney World, I suggest that you arrive a the theme park you are visiting as early as you can, even 30 minutes before the opening time. By being one of the first people at the park, you will find that you can get many attractions done in the first few hours of the morning. Crowds tend to build later in the morning. If you can save shows for the afternoon hours and go on popular attractions in the morning, this will help to alleviate the impact of the crowds.

I hope that these thoughts are helpful for you, Tonya. Have a great time planning your magical vacation, and please do let us know if you have any further questions.
