Hi Vickie,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! How exciting to begin planning your first trip to the Walt Disney World Resort! First trip memories are the best.
Our family is always on a budget, so I empathize with your dilemma. For your family of six there are several room options. Although you could certainly book two standard rooms at any resort, it might be nice to stay together and have access to a kitchen at the
Cabins at Fort Wilderness Resort. You could also try
Disney's Art of Animation Family Suites. While they do not have a full-sized kitchen, the family suites do have a kitchenette. The cabins might be quieter, but I just stayed at Art of Animation and was pleased with how quiet the room was.
We have also stayed at Disney's
Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa in a two-bedroom suite. It felt palatial. We had two full bathrooms. The main bedroom had a king-sized bed, the guest bedroom had two queen-sized beds and there was a sofa bed in the living room area. We used the full kitchen to put together breakfast in the mornings (we did not actually cook, but we did instant oatmeal and other simple foods).
Vickie, although I cannot provide definitive prices here, I can say that the last time we stayed in a two-bedroom suite, I did price two standard rooms and, at the time, they were a bit more expensive. Your pricing will depend on the exact dates of your stay and the
special offers that might be available at the time!
Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
Donyell
