We are planning for our first trip to Disney. We are thinking in January 2012 after the marathon crowd clears out. We were excited about the cooler weather & smaller crowds. But now I am wondering if it will be too cold for little ones & baby?

    Hi Carolyn!
The smaller crowds are definitely worth it! Predicting January weather in Orlando can be very tricky. We were there the first week of January, 2011 and we had both very hot very cold days! On the first three or four days we wanted to use the Resort pools, but didn't pack bathing suits. Then the last four or five days required long pants, jackets and hats.
The average temperature during January is usually between the high 70's and the low 50's. Even though we experienced cold evenings, our kids handled it well (and we're from the Caribbean). The best thing to do is pack a few additional layers for those unusually cold evenings.
Hope this helps and have a magical vacation!
