We are planning our first trip to disney and taking advantage of the dining plan. How crowded is it going to be from Sept 2-8, 2009?

    Franklin:

Our family went a few years back in September on free dining and the trip was one of our best ever!  We went toward the end of September and from what we gathered it was more crowded than earlier in the month.  Forecasting sites like www.touringplans.com tend to agree.

Even with the Labor Day Weekend, many children are back in school and crowds are smaller than summer or holiday seasons.  (And the lower crowds are the reason that Disney runs the free dining promotion.)

Although the slimmest crowd in September tends to be the week after Labor Day, your dates will still be a lot less crowded than even October, not to mention spring and summer!

    Wishing you a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
