Hi, We are planning our first trip to Disney in September. We are staying at Animal Kingdom for 6 nights and spending 4 days at the Disney Parks. What are the best parks/attractions/dining suggestions for our 3 year old? Thanks for all your help!

    Hi Harold!

The Animal Kingdom Lodge is a great place to stay especially with a young child.  Most children love seeing the exotic animals right outside the lodge.  Be sure to spend some time there exploring and doing the special activities, such as viewing the animals through night vision goggles.  I also suggest making some Advance Dining Reservations for the Table Service restaurants there.  My family and I enjoy having both breakfast and dinner at Boma!

With a young child, you will most likely be spending most of your time in the Magic Kingdom.  That park has the most attractions in general and the most attractions for young children.  That said, all of the parks have attractions suitable for guests of all ages.  Most attractions don't have a height restriction and if there is no height restriction then anybody can ride.  But, I think most young children prefer Disney's Hollywood Studios and DIsney's Animal Kingdom over Epcot.  Thus I would recommend going to Epcot first, then the Magic Kingdom, and then the other two parks.  I would recommend planning on visiting all four theme parks.  You could try combining Disney's Animal Kingdom and Disney's Hollywood Studios into one day in order to spend another day in the Magic Kingdom; if you do that, I suggest going to the Studios in the morning and then park hopping over to Animal Kingdom in the afternoon.

Our responses are limited in length, but I would like to help more, especially with the dining suggestions.  Just write back with another question!
