I am planning our first trip to Disney in Orlando. Our dates are flexible. I've heard that Disney offers free meals plan during certain dates. Is this true? How would one find out those dates and receive that discount?

Hi Adelaide! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

I am SO excited for you and your family! A Walt Disney World Resort vacation is truly unlike any other! You are correct in saying that there are sometimes Special Offers throughout the yEAR. I have found that historically, some of the best offers are during the “low travel season” (end of August, early Fall). Also, sometimes a room only discount is actually more financially beneficial than a free Disney Dining Plan Special Offer when you make all the calculations. You can take advantage of these Special Offers by booking online or by calling Disney Reservations and speaking to a Cast Member. Personally, I have even used a local Travel Agent in the past who was able to secure the same great rate and notify me if any Special Offers came up that I could take advantage of.

If ever you book your Walt Disney Resort vacation online or through Disney Reservations and a Special Offer is later available for your travel dates, you may be able to modify your reservation to take advantage of it.

I hope this answers your question and we look forward to helping you plan your first Walt Disney World Resort vacation! Have a magical day,

    Jen
