We are planning our first trip to Disney, no one in the family has been there, we are trying to decide between a 5 nights and 7 nights, and what is the dining plan? Is it extra, and is it really restrictive. Can you recommend a good vegatarian restaurant?

If you have never been to Disney before, I would stay the additional two nights.  The dining plan is an option that you could add to your Magic Your Way Ticket Package, There are actually 4 tiers to the dining plan Basic, Deluxe, Premium, and Platinum.  You can review each of the different plans, by going to www.waltdisneyworld.com, and search dining plan.  It's restrictive in that there are a finite number of table service, or counter service meals.  For example:  if you stay 7 nights on the Basic plan, you will have 7 table service meals, 7 counter service and 7 snacks per person per night.  I had a great vegetarian meal at the Yak and Yeti in December, but my all time favorite restaurant would have to be Jiko-The Cooking Place at the Animal Kingdom Lodge Resort.  If you like sushi,  California Grille or Wolfgang Puck's both are really good.  Hope you have a fantastic first trip!!!  Heather M.
