We are planning our first trip to Disney next summer. Our kids will be 8 and 10 years old, and we hope to be able to take a break from the park. Can we leave a park and return later during the same day or once we leave, is that it for us?

Yeah Carrie! Your first trip to Walt Disney World! Prepare to have a blast zooming down Space Mountain, eating Mickey ice cream, and sailing the pirate infested waters of the Caribbean.

Absolutely you may leave and reenter the park multiple times during the day on a basic ticket. In fact, I highly recommend taking an afternoon break. Hit the park at opening so you can enjoy some rides before the lines become long. After lunch during the heat of the day head back to your resort for a nap or some pool time. After your refreshing break, return to the theme park for more fun and fireworks.

Planning a first trip to WDW can be overwhelming. Please contact me if you have any additional questions about tickets, dining, itineraries, or other topics. I would love to help you create a magical visit for your family.
