Hi, we are planning our first trip to Disney and need help selecting a deluxe resort to stay at. We have two children 5 yr old(girl) and an 8 yr old(boy). We like the Contemporary, Bay Lake Towers, Polynesian, and Beach Club. Any suggestions?

    Hello, Laura!

What an exciting time for your family!

Here are some things to consider:

Location: which park(s) do you see your family returning to more often than the others? Consider staying at the resort which is closest to that park.  Disney's Contemporary Resort as well as Disney's Polynesian Resort are both a quick monorail ride to Magic Kingdom Park, and both can get you, via monorail, to Epcot quickly as well. Disney's Beach Club Villas are closest to both Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios. Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort is right next door to Disney's Contemporary Resort, so it offers the convenience of the monorail as well as a sidewalk that takes you right to Magic Kingdom Park.

Room Requirements: The rooms at all of the above-mentioned resorts are lovely and spacious.  You will have additional villa options if you reserve a villa at either Bay Lake Tower or Disney's Beach Club Villas. At both of these Disney Vacation Club properties, you can reserve a studio, a one-bedroom or even a two-bedroom villa. Both the one-bedroom and two-bedroom villas offer a fully-equipped kitchen as well as a washer and dryer right in your unit!  If you feel that you'd like to have a place where the grownups can sit when the kiddies are asleep (without having to sit in the dark, with the TV off...) then take a look at Bay Lake Tower or Disney's Beach Club Villas.

    Resort Amenities
: Do you plan on spending a day at the resort?  Check out the pool area as described online. Is there a particular restaurant that you'd like to try which is located in one of these resorts?  Consider booking your room there, which will afford you one very easy evening of dining, then heading back to your room which is right on property.

I hope that this was helpful! Please send additional questions you may have about your upcoming stay!
