Welcome to planDisney, Iyesha.
The World's Most Magical Celebration is well and truly underway. Therefore, you've chosen a practically perfect time to visit for the first time in... well, forever! You'll be glad to know that Mickey and his pals are so excited to meet you.
I know planning a vacation to Walt Disney World Resort can be overwhelming. However, we're here for you at planDisney. That means Hakuna Matata! Let me suggest some things that'll help you as you begin planning your adventure.
When it comes to putting a vacation package together, one option is to
speak directly to a Cast Member. You can let them know your budget and they can find something that meets your needs. They will be able to book accommodation and tickets for you, as well as answer any questions you might have. Another option is to find an authorized Disney vacation planner. There are a number of no-fee agents who can help you plan your vacation (often even saving you lots of money in the process).
I'd encourage you to stay at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel. There are a variety of options available to meet the needs of people on different budgets. Make sure you become familiar with all the
magical benefits that are available to Guests staying on property.
Now I don't like food, I LOVE it! One of the many benefits of staying on property is the ability to make dining reservations up to 60 days in advance of your trip plus the length of your stay (up to 10 days). Since restaurants fill up quickly, this means that you are far more likely to snag a table. Iyesha, did you know that Walt Disney World is famous for its amazing food? There are so many
wonderful places to eat!
There are four Theme Parks and two Water Parks on property (although Blizzard Beach Water Park is currently closed for refurbishment). In the past, my wife and I have spent two weeks at Walt Disney World and visited all of these parks on the same trip. It was exhausting but incredibly fun! At the very least, I'd encourage you to visit as many of the four Theme Parks as possible. Magic Kindom Park is the most iconic (and my personal favorite). But each is delightfully magical in its own way. Have a
peek online and see all the amazing things on offer at each of the Theme Parks. Once you have purchased your tickets, you'll want to create a
My Disney Experience account. You can then make
reservations at the Theme Park(s) you'd like to visit.
Next, I'd encourage you to download the
My Disney Experience Mobile app so that you can use the new (and free)
Disney Genie service. This will help you plan your day in a way that is catered to you and your family.
Those are some suggestions to get you started, Iyesha. Adventure is out there! I trust you'll have a magical time. Please
stop by again if you'd like any more recommendations or if you have any more questions.
“Go. Live your dream.”
Mike
