I am planning my first trip to Disney in May and I am trying to decided if it is worth it to purchase the dining plan and which one? Could anybody who has already been to disney give me some advice on this and how much does the food cost?

    Hello Jaime,

Traveling from Ohio to Florida is no easy feat, I know! That's one of the many reasons why I love the Disney Dining Plan (DDP). Because the DDP is part of the Magic Your Way vacation package, you pay for your meals prior to arriving on property. So in essence, when you arrive at Disney, you're showing up worry-free!

I like the traditional DDP that consists of one table service meal, one quick service meal, and one snack for each night of your stay. The DDP works for me because my family loves dessert. So I appreciate that with my table and quick service meals, you get an entree, a dessert and a non-alcoholic drink. And many times for breakfast, I use my snack credits for a cinnamon roll or bagel at the many locations on property.

I also like that with many of the participating DDP restaurants, you can order freely, straight from the menu with no restrictions. Have the steak! Order the cheesecake!

    Hope this helps!

My family loves our Main Street in Ohio. But there's simply no comparison to Main Street U.S.A.! We don't get to Disney quite as often as I'd like, but that just means finding new ways to sprinkle Pixie Dust on our adventures! Learn More About Monina
