Hi! Planning our first trip to Disney. We would love to celebrate my daughter turning 5 in Sept but she will be starting kindergarten and cannot miss her 1st day of school. Can we still celebrate it weeks after? Is end of sept/early oct a good time to go?

    Hi Michelle,

It's not always easy to be in the magic on your special day. We've celebrated plenty of early or delayed birthdays at the Most Magical Place on Earth. It doesn't matter when, just that you celebrate and have fun while doing it!

I also have a little one starting Kindergarten this next fall. Where does the time go? It feels like just yesterday I was planning her first trip! Fall is a beautiful time at Walt Disney World Resort. The air is a little cooler, the crowds a little lighter and the decorations are stunning. On top of all that, you'll find one of our favorite Special Events, Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. Keep an eye on the Special Offers page of the Walt Disney World Resort website as well because sometimes there are a few great deals for this time of year.

Happy planning, Michelle. If you come across any other questions, please let me know. I'm all EARS!

    Magical Wishes,

    Lauren

Hi-ya, Pals! I'm Lauren, a wife and mother of three who's enjoyed many special occasions at Walt Disney World Resort with my family and friends. From graduations to birthdays, and even our Fairy Tale Honeymoon we’ve loved celebrating at the most Magical Place on Earth. I now have pre-teens who check wait times in the My Disney Experience App just for fun, so I look for any excuse to return "home" often and would love to help you plan a little extra Pixie Dust for your next magical adventure.
