We are planning our first trip to Disney (for the kid's) Feb 23- Mar 2, 2013. How is the weather that time of year? During the day and at night? Crowd level?

    Hi Louanne!

Thank you for sending in your question to the Walt Disney World Moms Panel.

With respect to crowds, the crowds should be low to medium except for the first day of your trip which coincides with the Princess Half Marathon at Walt Disney World.  After the weekend, the crowds will definitely be smaller!

The weather, however, is much less predictable.  My family and I usually take our annual trip to Walt Disney World over President's Day Weekend, which is just before your planned trip.  In some years you can walk around in the day time with just a t-shirt and shorts while in other years you definitely needed a jacket.  Nighttime can definitely be cool to cold at that time of year.  You will want to check the weather a few days before your trip and be prepared for anything.

By the way since you said it is your first trip, I suggest picking up the book "The Complete Walt Disney World" by Julie and Mike Neal.  It is a great book for first time visitors as it is full of information but it is not overwhelming.  It is also a beautiful book full of color photographs.  Definitely check it out!

I hope this helps!  Please write back with more questions!
