We are planning our very first trip to Disney in December with a variety of aged children(17-2) between my family and my sisters. We are overwhelmed with all the choices for dining and attractions, is there a way to decide what are must sees and what not?

    Hi Jessica,

Thank you for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Planning a Walt Disney World trip will depend on the unique interests of your traveling party. I am going to suggest some resources for you to look at so that you and other members of your party can see what appeals to you. I would let the other adults, older children and teenagers in your group take a look at each resource so that they can weigh in on the planning. We often let each member of our family have one what we call "choose" of the day. It is that person's must-do for the day. For example, if we head to Epcot, my 11-year-old daughter might choose a ride on Soarin', my husband might choose to see the show The American Adventure, and I might choose that I want to have lunch at Chefs de France. We are sure to do these three things, and then everything else is a bonus.

I suggest that you take a look at the Walt Disney World online planning video. This will give you some ideas of the experiences you may have at Walt Disney World. Since you mention that you will have small children with you, check out this page for planning a Walt Disney World trip with young children. Likewise, have the older children and teenagers in your traveling party look at the planning a Walt Disney World trip with big kids page. One specific recommendation: since you are visiting in December, check out Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. This party is fun for the whole family and includes unique entertainment.

I would love to help you plan more Jessica; however, I am limited in the space that I have to answer. Please do write back if you have any further questions!
