We are planning our first trip to Disney in 2013 with our children aged 4 and 2. Which one of the moderate resorts is most exciting and has most things Disney for our kids to enjoy when we are in our resort. Many thanks

    Hi Jennifer!

Thank you for sending in your question to the Walt Disney World Moms Panel.

My favorite Disney Moderate Resort is Port Orleans Riverside.  I love the theming and the boat service to Downtown Disney.  I also like its sister resort, Port Orleans French Quarter.  I am not a big fan of the other Moderate Resorts unless you have a car because they are large and spread out.

However, I don't think either Port Orleans hotels have a particularly good theme for children.  It is not a bad theme; I just don't think children will find them exciting.  In fact, I think the hotels with the best themes for children are the Disney Value Resorts.  Thus I would recommend staying at the new Disney's Art of Animation Resort.  The concept art for it looks fabulous, and while it is officially a Disney Value Resort, I personally believe it will be somewhere between the Moderates and the current Value Resorts.

I hope this helps!  Good luck with your decision.  Please write back with more questions!
