Hey there, partner! Thanks for coming back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question, Mary. We're glad to see you!
The Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort have so much
recreation and fun, you might never want to leave! Two of my favorites are Chip 'N' Dale's Campfire Sing-A-Long where marshmallow roasting is required (
not really!) and the
Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue. If you find yourself with time to spare, check out one or both of these giggle-inducing options.
While you are out at Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue enjoying the unlimited fried chicken (or maybe at Disney's Hollywood Studios riding
Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run), you'll need to know your valuables are safe. Many guests tent camping at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort choose to leave valuable items locked in their vehicles while they are away from their camp site. While this would require you toting your keys with you wherever you go, the convenience appeals to many.
If you have smaller items that you won't need quick access to, the Front Desk has the ability to store these for you in a locked box. Similar to a safety deposit box, this service is complimentary, but the box is on the small side, so plan accordingly.
Depending on what you're hoping to store while you're away from your site, there are also
lockers available for rent at each of the four Theme Parks and both Water Parks. These come in a variety of sizes and are priced per day.
Another option would be to purchase a portable lock box prior to your vacation. We have a Master Lock Portable Safe that we purchased through Amazon. We take this to the beach and the pool and are able to secure it to our beach chairs. Something like this might work for you at your campsite.
Mary, I hope this helps as you are planning for your upcoming stay.
So long, partner.
Lauren
